One afternoon John was dog sitting. Jazzy. After her long walk with him along Dead Man’s Pass, she still had lots of energy. When they got home he said, “hey Jazzy, you’re still full of beans, let’s party with The Rolling Stones!?
She gave him one of those tilted head looks only Cats and Dogs can do, and jumped up onto the lounge. He put on a song called Paint It Black, and unbelievably, almost straight away, she’s singing along? We haven’t seen any other dogs do that since we began house sitting,..
When she stopped singing he said, “ok let’s hit the dance floor.” Here’s what she did…
He started sort of walking around in a long square circle, and she’s following him, tail wagging in overdrive, any fly buzzing past would have been T boned.
Ten minutes later, after a long drink, she was on her bed snoring as dogs do a lot when we’re dog sitting them.
Jazz also sang along to Paint It Black while we were pet sitting her. She was a lovely and highly intelligent dog, like all the “oodles” we’ve cared for, starting off with Dave the cavoodle. Her master showed us where to walk Jazz and told us to give her a scooby treat whenever she weed or pood. However, when John gave her a scooby, she just spat it right out. I don’t think the owner believed us when we told him, because he’d been giving her those scoobies for years. Dogs and cats often act a little different with their house sitters.
One trait that all the oodles seem to have (like poodles) is that they love to be close to people and get lots of attention. I also love how soft their fur feels and that it doesn’t shed all over the house.
