We have been dog sitting a very small dog Ruby and garden care for her mum and dad’s big garden. Although, there’s been a lot of rain in Adelaide, so the garden care is minimal. John mowed the lawns the other day and we’ve been watering some Bonsai and pot plants that are under cover.
Ruby feels the cold, but she owns lots of lovely warm jumpers to keep her warm!
The best part of her day is going for a walk and for such a tiny doggy, she walks pretty fast and sometimes does a little trot. She has quite a bit of attitude for her size and tries to get to pull towards bigger dogs. Maybe it’s just curiosity?
This house sit is for 5 weeks. The owners of the house were very kind and allowed us to move into their granny flat a few days early because we had almost a week’s gap in between our house sits. There was a lot for John to learn about watering the garden anyway (where the hoses were kept and where to switch the pumps on and off, just in case the weather did change and become dry. And, having those extra days allowed Ruby to get to know us, so she wasn’t nervous when her owners left for their holiday.
Only another week and John will go back to where we were pet sitting Dave this time last year. We’ve been looking forward to spending time with Dave again. The other day we went to visit him and he came racing out to greet us eagerly! He remembered us after one year.
The rest of 2024 is booked for us, but we will be available January to April 2025, if you would like us to house and pet sit for you. You can book us here or contact us here. We should respond to you within 24 hours.
