We got back to Adelaide about 10 days before Christmas, just in time to move into our next house sitting assignment, with 2 young and very energetic cats, Teela and Scout.  As usual with cats, they were a bit shy for a couple of days, but then they warmed up to us, especially the youngest one.  She came and sat on my lap while I was working on my laptop.

They were easy to look after, although quite mischievous.  Their owners had left water filters, one upstairs and one downstairs, so they would have fresh water all the time.  But those cheeky little cats kept playing with them and taking off the suction caps holding them up.  So, we tried putting down bowls of water and they loved tipping them over – so that’s why their owners got the other gadgets for their water!

We finished caring for Teela and Scout on the 13th January & weren’t sure where we would go between then and our next long sit at the end of January.   I ended up booking an AirBNB, then 2 jobs showed up for us just at the right time.

One was for 2 nights, looking after 2 adorable French Bulldogs. We had a lot of fun with them, although the  female wasn’t sure about John.  But, she loved me as you can see here 🙂

Everytime John tried to pat her, she would start barking at him.  I’m sure she just wanted to show him who was boss!   Her brother Hugo was quite different in nature and seems to love and cuddle everyone!

For the remaining 7 nights, we obtained a last minute house sit near the city of Adelaide, looking after an elderly cat who is very shy and spends most of her day in her bed in the closet.  She’s very sweet though!
